Protector System

Protector VBS (Vehicle Barrier System)

The CINCH Systems Protector - VBS represents the next major revolution in security products, designed from the ground up to address the needs of the government high security market. The Protector - VBS acts not only as a Vehicle Barrier Controller, but a security system, point monitoring system, a metrics monitoring system and networking subsystem. The system can be easily integrated into SMS (Software Management Systems) providing a 'stream of consciousness' and full two-way interoperability. Monitored functions (Barrier Controls, Alarms, Metrics, and Troubles) can be divided and sent to different monitoring systems.

The Protector - VBS provides easy-to-use operation and monitoring of up to 4 vehicle barrier systems when used in conjunction with CeLAN VBS Module(s) and the CeLAN AES Encrypted Receiver - VBS.

The CINCH Systems Protector - VBS allows you to connect up to four (4) barrier systems for remote reporting, commanding, and controlling of the barrier systems.

The system is designed to work with most barrier systems including:

- Retractable Bollards (including sets up to 8 bollards)
- Hydraulic Wedge
- Sliding Gate
- Hydraulic Drop Arm

The Protector - VBS system is a revolutionary new controller system that provides:

- Positive control of up to 4 barrier systems using dual color touch screens
- Redundant AES encrypted CeLAN Communications
- Graphic representation of barrier transit and position,
- Optional video display of each barrier on the touch screen display,

Complete metrics tracking that including:

- Cycle counts by component
- Environmental de-rating capability
- Transit times,
- Voltage, current, and hydraulic pressure monitoring,
- Traffic counts
- Remote monitoring / operation of:
- Alarms
- Operations and history
- Metrics
- Thumb-print screen video
- Ability to prioritize the CeLAN AES Encrypted Receiver - VBS units:

- Safe Haven
- Post 1
- Level 3
- Level 4
- Level 5
- Remote

- Blast-Wave detection automatic securing & receiver lock-out capability
- Communication failure automatic securing & receiver lock-out capability
- Vehicle Barrier interconnect (vehicle trap) operation including authorized operator override capability

Guard response is required any time a system (partition);

- an alarm occurs
- a system trouble occurs. When any of these events occur the user is prompted to accept the change by touching the virtual button on the touch-screen

Remote reporting also requires the CeLAN TCP/IP Module.

In addition, the Protector VBS can also provide all the functionality of the Protector IDS System.

The Protector - VBS system utilizes AES encryption for all communication including:

- CeLAN (expansion bus)
- CINCH Stick (memory stick and upgrade stick)
- TCP/IP communications (expansion and reporting)

Features:

- AES Encryption between receiver, touch screen, all modules, and Protector Panels

CINCH-On Protector Panel Input/Output Tester / Demo Interface

- Allows for the easy testing and configuration of a Protector Panel.

- When connected allows for the testing of the input zones and verification of the output programming of the two panel relays.

- Zones can be tested in the Normally Open or Normally Closed configuration

- All Zone states can be demonstrated including GFH (Ground Fault on the High side of the zone) and GFL (Ground Fault on the Low side of the zone)
