Cinch Part # Ce-TS

Protector System

CeLAN Touch Screen Module

The CINCH Systems CeLAN Touch Screen Module provides a very powerful and easy-to-use user interface.

The CeLAN Touch Screen Module provides a graphical user interface on a 5.6" color touch screen mounted inside a white aluminum frame. The unit can be surface mounted or recess mounted using the mounting bracket included with the unit.

The CeLAN Touch Screen provides a 5.6" Color LCD (liquid-crystal display) to provide the user with complete on-site system programming and operation control of the Protector System. The 5.6" Color LCD (liquid-crystal display) provides a graphical user interface to display visual status messages for the entire system. The display identifies any programmed location so the user can determine where an alarm, trouble, or open-sensor condition exists. Location names or zone/sensor text are displayed allowing for easy identification. Zone/sensor names can be entered into the system using the on-screen QWERTY keyboard or by using a traditional serial keyboard and the CINCH-On Keyboard Adapter Harness. Sensor names are stored in the panel, which eliminates the need for downloading sensor text from one touch screen to another.
Display backlighting lights up after the first press for easy night viewing. After approximately 15 seconds with no touch pad activity, this lighting automatically turns off.

The CeLAN Touch Screen has the option to provide a scrambled QWERTY or 12 key numeric keypad for entering pass codes. The code keypad is randomly scrambled for each use. System pass codes can be any combination of characters, numbers, or symbols and are case sensitive.

The system also provides for 'on-line' help screens that lead the user through trouble-diagnostic screens.

The touch screen brightness can be adjusted as well as the sound volume of the unit.

The CeLAN Touch Screen Module also provides for three (3) hardwire input zones for conventional hardwire devices. These input zones could be used for any zone type and typically would be used for wall tampering the touch screen, key-switch arming/disarming, and adjacent entry door contact.

On Protector Systems, you can connect multiple modules to a single panel for up to 250 input points. Both normally open and normally closed devices can be wired to an zone input. The module monitors all zones and alerts the panel if there is an open/short circuit by using a 3.0K ohm end-of-line (EOL) resistor on each loop input. For additional security, a magnetic reed switch can be added and connected to one of the module's input zones to provide module tamper protection.

The input module comes with three 3.0K ohm EOL resistors and mounting hardware (screws and anchors). Input zones response times may be adjusted via the Protector Panel control.

Power for the CeLAN Touch Screen Module is provided by:
- Protector 12 VDC CeLAN power terminals,
- CeLAN Remote Power Supply Module, or
- Separate 12 VDC-power supply capable of delivering up to 250 mA.

CeLAN AES encrypted digital data bus technology provides secure, fast and reliable data transfer between the Protector Panel and CeLAN modules.
