CeLAN VBS Module
The CeLAN VBS Module provides a universal interface between existing vehicle barrier systems and the Protector VBS Controller. This module's design will allow the end-user to save significant money on maintenance while providing an unparalleled ease of use and security.
The CeLAN VBS Module allows for the command and control connectivity, and also provides for many advanced features designed to reduce the cost of operation by tracking numerous metrics of the system and reporting them to the Protector VBS System.
The CeLAN VBS Module monitors /measures /controls the following:
Standard CINCH Systems Input Zones:
- Service Power Present Detect
- Limit Switch - Non-secure
- Limit Switch - Secured
- Traffic/Safety Switch 1
- Traffic/Safety Switch 2
- Blast Wave detected
- Enclosure Tamper
- Pressure Switch (Motor)
- Fluid Reservoir Level Switch (Motor)
- Voltage Phase Monitor (Motor)
- Motor Starter Overload (Motor)
- Fluid Over-Temp Switch (if present)
Standard CINCH Relay Outputs (Supervised):
- EFO Valve (Activate/Reset)

The CeLAN VBS Module has an integrated 2x16 LCD Display to allow for easy service review of over 50 different system metrics. These metrics can also be reviewed on the CeLAN AES Encrypted Receiver - VBS, or using the Protector remote monitoring software.
The CeLAN VBS Module provides the security options needed to maintain the integrity of the system, while allowing the connectivity needed to enhance the reporting, maintenance, and flexibility of the system.
The CINCH Systems CeLAN VBS Module expands the versatility of Protector VBS Panel. Up to four (4) CeLAN VBS Modules can be added to any Protector VBS Panel allowing for the control and monitoring of up to four (4) vehicle barrier systems.
All the Standard CINCH Input Zones can be programmed to allow for either normally open or normally closed devices. The module monitors all zones and alerts the panel if there is an open/short circuit by using a 3.0K ohm end-of-line (EOL) resistor on each loop input.
The CeLAN VBS Module comes with the 3.0K ohm EOL resistors required along with the mounting hardware (screws and anchors).
Power for the CeLAN VBS Module is provided by:
- Protector VBS Panel 12 VDC CeLAN power terminals,
- CeLAN Remote Power Supply Module, or
- Separate 12-24 VDC-power supply capable of delivering the required power.
CeLAN AES encrypted digital data bus technology provides secure, fast and reliable data transfer between the Protector Panel and CeLAN modules.
Input response times may be adjusted via the Protector Panel control.
